Lord, I worship you. Lord, I love you. Thank you for listening and answering me when I call. I know you hear me even when sometimes it feels like you are so far away. I wonder if that is just how I perceive you to be – since I know you are always close.
When I think you are not answering me I shout at you, “Where are You?” I blame you for not sticking with me and maybe even not being around. How foolish! Instead, it’s me. I am the one who is not listening to you, not seeing your hand, nor hearing your soft whisper. Forgive me. Open up my eyes, heart, and mind to constantly be aware of you.
God, I release any anger I have. I breathe out the anger, bitterness, and evil inside of me and breath in your peace, love, and righteousness… breath out, breath in, breath out, breath in (see James 1:19-20). I humbly am aware of the filth inside of me. I feel the burn of its release. I seek a clean heart, and I yearn for the Word you will deposit inside.
Thank you, Lord for giving me so much in my life that makes my heart full of joy! Daily I see your blessings and grace. I am overwhelmed with your showers from heaven. The gifts you give are always above my need; they are simply because of your love. You are my one and only… you are my I AM.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.Psalm 4:8
